Rev. Mark Milligan was Called by the congregation on Sunday, October 30 to serve as our settled pastor. Mark and Kathy moved to St. Johnsbury in mid-November. Mark began preaching at South Church on Sunday, November 27 - the first Sunday of Advent.

Phil Brown, has a Bachelor of Music from Boston University and over 40 years experience leading music ministry in Vermont churches. He began his ministry at South Church in 1983 and currently directs the Chancel Choir, the South Church Handbell Ringers and Bells Angels. Phil believes strongly in engaging the congregation in worship through hymns, anthems and responses that are theologically sound and musically excellent. His goal is to provide music ministry opportunities for all members of the community. Phil teaches voice and guitar lessons and performs as a tenor soloist. Outside of the church he is an adjunct instructor in music at Lyndon State College and manager for 
Marie-Hélène Bélanger received her Masters degree in 2001 from the University of Montréal. In 2004 she earned a Professional Studies Diploma from the Mannes College of Music in New York. Marie-Hélène provides inspired and sensitive music for worship on the piano and organ. She also accompanies the Chancel Choir and various soloists. She is an active recital soloist and chamber musician who, since 1995, has devoted herself to teaching. Marie-Hélène directs the 
Barbara Hill has served as South Church Secretary since 2006. She manages the church office Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to noon. Barbara came to us from a long career serving St. Johnsbury's legal community. She produces all of our church communication including The Steeple newletter, weekly worship Bulletins and congregational letters. Barbara also oversees the chuch calendar and is the first point of contact for people and organizations wishing to use the church building for meetings, functions and concerts.
